This is a story that you most likely have not heard about before. I sure hadn’t. My father sent this to me via email last week, and I just got to watching it. I purposefully do not watch anything on TV having to do with that day. I just cant keep reliving it over and over. But I am so glad I watched this.

Listening to these people talk about the largest sea evacuation in history, larger than Dunkirk in WW2, 500,000 civilians rescued from Manhattan by boat in 9hrs.
(narrated by Tom Hanks), you are taken aback and can’t help but be pulled into that emotional experience all over again.

I hope you get around to hitting that play button and watching this. And I assure you I’ve never said this before: You should pass it on.
